Miguel Braganza is a gentleman who has a track record of honestly, credibility and efficiency. He has done, and continues to do, more for Goa and Goans than Rajan Parrikar will manage in many lifetimes. There are many here in Goa who will vouch for Miguel's integrity. I doubt the same can be said about Rajan. Response: Dear Mr Pinto, You are entitled to your opinion about Miguel. You can help Miguel by requesting him to do a couple of things: I called him a bigot on this forum and gave the reason. He had made a foul comment about Hindus who follow Lord Shiva as Rajan's family, I believe, do. Ask Miguel to explain that comment. Secondly, when Rajan, Soter and I tried to get all the different organisations fighting for Goa together, Miguel publicly made the charge that this was BJP inspired/ supported enterprise. Rajan had asked him then and we ask him now. Produce the evidence or apologise. There was so much criticism that the first meeting of GPA was held at Hotel Mandovi. Has anyone on this forum ever criticised ( They deserve praise and not criticism anyway) that Goa Sudharop held their awards ceremony at the same venue? Is this not duplicitous behaviour? If he does neither, it would be hard to believe he knows what personal integrity means let alone have it. If you have problems with Rajan's integrity, give us an instance that made you have doubts. One of the problem with Goa is that there are too many such activists who have done so much for Goa that Goa is crumbling under the weight of the debt owed to these guys. Look at our Indian of the year nominee, Dr Oscar Rebello. The wonders he did for Goa and Digu from inside and outwith GBA. Anil Desai
