I can immediately think of Selma's parents who are settled in Salcette. Another resource would be Melvyn Misquitta's (journalist and bureau chief of AP in Panjim) mother from Aldona (his father recently died). They went to Qatar in the 50s working in an oilfield camp office of Shell Petroleum. Excellent Goan family. Valu Misquitta was the quintessential Goan gentleman and knew the history of the place well.

Subject: [Goanet] Looking out for: Gulf-based histories Dear all: Historian Dr Teresa Albuquerque, currently in Anjuna, Goa (mobile 98333 40837) is researching a book on early Goan migration to the Gulf, and would be very grateful for any contacts with emigrants to that region in the pre-1961 era. Also, any pointers to resources (print or digital) on this subject would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help you could offer.
