TAG to stage 'Zomnivoilo Khell'

Tiatr Academy of Goa for the first time is staging a traditional ‘Khell’
produced by Davorlim Dramatic Troupe and it is written by Vitorin
Pereira and directed by Domingo Mascarenhas. This ‘Khell’ will be staged
on 12th March 2011 at 6:30 pm at DMK Auditorium, Kala Academy, Panjim.
The Traditional Khell is the true folk drama of Goa which has come from
generation to generation.
Normally a ‘Khell’ consist of three small plays which are staged one
after the other. The ‘Khell’ produced by Davorlim Dramatic Troupe,
written by veteran Khell artiste Shri. Vitorin Pereira and directed by
Shri. Domingo Mascarenhas consist of three plays they are:-
Sakantlo Bhattkar
Goddbodd Ghottalo
Xetkamtyachi Sun
The cast includes Francisca (Utorda), Irene D’Betul, Francisco Colaco,
Camilo Miranda, Herculano Niasso, Com. Alvito, Vincy Mascarenhas and
Shri. Domingos Mascarenhas.
Staging a ‘Zomnivoilo Khell’ on the stage of DMK Auditorium will be a
new experience for the performers as well as for the audience. There are
no tickets and the admission for the ‘Khell’ is free.
TAG invites one and all to witness the Khell and enjoy the traditional
and primitive folk drama of Goa. The seating is on first come first
serve basis.
