JAGATIK KONKNNI SANGHATTAN -- Global Konkani Organization --
(TO REPRESENT KONKANI PEOPLE AND ISSUES GLOBALLY).
Greetings!
The draft Constitution has been sent to you already and you were humbly
requested -
1. to place the same before your committee,
2. to propose changes, if any, in the draft Constitution,
3. to send your consent to be a ‘Probable Member’,
4. to ensure that your organization will be represented at the First
Global General Assembly of ‘Jagatik Konknni Sanghattan’, on August 20,
2011, at Mangalore - (wherein the constitution will be passed after
discussions, Office Bearers will be elected, programmes for the term
will be finalized and ‘Jagatik Konknni Sanghattan’ formally launched).
This is a ‘Gentle Reminder’ regarding this very important and urgent issue.
Please note:
1. Membership fee will be collected only after the constitution is
passed, at the First Global General Assembly. Until then,
organizations/associations willing to join will be considered -
‘Probable Members’.
2. A ‘Think-tank’, consisting of 12 prominent Konkani activists who
subscribe to the objectives of ‘Jagatik Konknni Sanghattan’, will meet
in June to redraft the Constitution, after taking into consideration the
suggestions received from various organizations, (such as yours) and
also to plan the First Global General Assembly.
We sincerely believe that ‘Jagatik Konknni Sanghattan’ is the greatest
step yet in the promotion of unity of Konkanis – of all regions,
religions, dialects, scripts, and every other variety – at the global
level. You will be failing in your duty if you do not respond positively
to this clarion call of Konkani unity.
