‘LOVERS OF KUWAIT’ 2nd Annual Outdoor Get–to-gather
On 25th and 26th February 2011, ‘Lovers of Kuwait’ celebrated the joyful and momentous occasion of Kuwait's Golden Jubilee of Independence, the 20th Liberation Day of Kuwait and the 5th Anniversary of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's assumption of power at a Chalet in Kabad where they held their second annual outdoor Get-Together. The main theme of this year’s outing was ‘PRO LIFE – ANTI-ABORTION’.
This outing commenced with a prayer, thanking and praising God for this beautiful country Kuwait, its rulers and the Kuwaiti people as well as their generosity. The outing was jam-packed with activities which were interspersed with meaningful skits and various games which were enjoyed by the kids, teenagers and adults. All the skits, which were acted by the members themselves, conveyed a powerful message and some of which were really hilarious. PRO LIFE – Anti-Abortion skit’ carried a message to all that abortion is a crime and that the children are a gift from God and God alone is the author of life and death.
This togetherness and camaraderie of all the members generated a feeling of warmth which insulated the members, young and old alike, from the chilly desert weather. . The members were treated to a delicious variety of home-cooked food, which also included mouth-watering barbecued chicken and grilled fish. Plenty of gifts and prizes were distributed during the course of the outing.
This outing gave the members an opportunity to mingle with each other whilst also allowing them to relax and unwind far away from the hustle bustle of the city. The members returned to their homes rejuvenated and looking forward to the next outing.
