Three Goans have been commended in the Australian Bravery Awards for their conduct in rescue efforts following a major terror attack on an Iraqi army base seven years ago... they were working in the dining facility at the Al Kasik army base when terrorists exploded two bombs killing more than 50 people. That was followed by a barrage of rockets... The bravery list commends six people including Deepak Arondekar [from Marmagoa], Steven Miranda [Betalbatim] and Antonio Po [Dona Paula] from Goa ... 486 words.
