--------GL responds: Ivo, you are right .... But... !
If doctors do all that you outline, they will never get to writing that prescription or doing that operation. Furthermore we expect all that you outline to have been done by the spouse, relatives, mother-in-law, or the swami (for free) before the patient goes to the doctor. :=)) To be serious, when I see the patient, I talk to them about their cancer and how it behaves; how the radiation therapy will work; and how we do the therapy. Finally I talk to them how to cope with and reduce their disease-related-stress (including proper diet and exercise); which recent data suggests helps their immune system to fight the cancer. No references provided!:=)) Quick response to Tukaram's post. He appears to be new on Goanet. Likely he did not get my memo on how to respond to some post.:=)) Regards, GL ------------ Ivo Yes, you are absolutely right. Holistic Medicine is defined by the Canadian Holistic Medical Association as follows: "Holistic medicine is a system of health care which fosters a cooperative relationship among all those involved, leading towards optimal attainment of the physical, mental emotional, social and spiritual aspects of health. It emphasizes the need to look at the whole person, including analysis of physical, nutritional, environmental, emotional, social, spiritual and lifestyle values. ........ --------- Tukaram Naik wrote: The writer of this article either does not know English or Science.
