This clarification below has been cleverly inserted in another letter on the
website of Herald to confuse the reader. There iss no such mistake in the
Herald hard copy. The agenda of the fundamentalist agents within Herald is too
glaring.
Yesterday a leter was published in the name of Rita Paes, Panjim appealing to
the Church not to polarise the communities in Goa on medium of instruction to
help some politicians. It was shocking to many of us who know Dr. Rita Paes. We
are relieved after the clarification. The fundamentalist konkani cowards are
now resorting to circulating fake opinions as the tide is fast turning against
them.

It wasn't me
Dr Rita Paes, Principal, Nirmala Institute of Education, Panjim
This is with reference to the letter of the day 'Poll communalising strategy'
(Herald, 29 March). I would like to state very clearly that the letter to the
editor published under the name of one 'Rita Paes' is not mine.
I reiterate very strongly that neither as Principal of Nirmala Institute of
Education, nor in my personal capacity have I sent any such letter.
