Portugal and India were the constituent members of the UN. India claimed that it had liberated Goa. Therefore it was mandatory after the so called liberation for India to call for a Referendum under the dictats of the UN so that Goans could (1) either opt to join India lock stock and barrel or (2) Join India under certain conditions i.e. Special Status with an arrangement to be part and parcel of the Indian economy.
Unfortunately, a handful of traitor so called Freedom Fighters which includes Lambert Mascarenhas and to some extent the maha mergerist traitor called Flavian Dias decide that Goa was part of India and must be with India, and that to in BOMBAY. So, who were these AHs to decide for 8 lacs Goans?? If not Nehrus Chamchas, who were they??? Therefore, let New Delhi (which I call Commission Agency) clear the path for Goa to have the much talked about, promised Special Status and all should be well. But do have a solution that would make a better place of Goa. I personally blame our weak and ineffectual Goa government which has no backbone to carry out the the laws it sets out, the minsters all bar none carry a criminal record e.g. Babush Moserratte who is detained now in Mumbai for trying to smuggle millions to Dubai more than likely ill-gotten. Can you think we would survive without India? A first class military power that could out -gun anything we could muster, or block any imports by a naval blockade. What India could do is to interfere into the business of of the Goa goverment rake out the illegalities that it carries out on the Goan populace by suspending the criminals in the Goa Government. and make them toe the line.
