Our Education Minister is the latest victim of Konkani as the medium of instruction. There are no law books in Konkani and signboards at the airports are in English, Hindi, German, Russian, French, Arabic,..... the second, third and fourth languages for Goans. So he is justified in pleading ignorance because the laws displayed are not in his mother tongue. So here is a victim of the Indian law all because of 'Mother Tongue'. This shows that a antruzi tongue alone is not enough in today's globalised world, we need our eyes and cognitive faculties in tact.
