I don't believe a wait and see approach was used last year when a South Goa politician (Benaulim) was implicated in the death of his alleged young lover who allegedly consumed Rat poison instead of toothpaste. The way media spin works nowadays we are going to learn that the Taleigao politician was not carrying any money but needed some cash for tea while waiting for his flight. Other Goans who were waiting for their flights, gave him cash amounting to Rs. 25 lakh for his tea, the balance of which he will return at the next election in the form of TV's, fridges, bikes, micro-waves ovens.
