Goa State Budget was tabled on 17th March at 2.35pm. The Centre as well as all the states religiously upload this documents on their respective web-sites within minutes of the presentation. However in the case of Goa (supposed to be far ahead of other states) it is not done till date. Why does the CM allow such a lethargy on part of administration? I have been following up with Vidhansabha secretariate, IT department (responsible for uploading on web-site), Finance Department (resp for sending CD containing the budget details to IT Dept) for the last 10 days. Speaker of the house was prompt in saying that such documents must be available on the website the same day and that he would pull up CM in the house if it is not done. But not only that the co-ordination between depts is pathetic, there is no fear of reprimand. IT dept informed me that CD containing Budget is corrupted by virus and not getting loaded. I informed this to Finnce Dept, who said that he can only give CDs (as many IT dept wants) and that he does not understand Virus etc. Rajendra
