At 4.10 pm today, Thursday, April, 2011, Time Now - a TV channel, showed live telecast of what is happening at the place where Anna Hazare is on fast-unto-death. Today he received special letter from government inviting him for discussion and also proposed him to be the chairman of the committee drafting graft bill. Anna responded to the letter in public using load-speaker saying, 'government of India has invited us for a meeting tomorrow and proposed that I be the chairman of the committee. In this regards, I want to convey you that we will attend the meeting, but I will not accept the chairmanship. I will only be a member of the committee. Our demand for the bill, what should be the content of the bill and greater participation of civil society in formulation of anti-corruption Lokpal Bill still stands'.
Although too early to predict, it looks like Mahatma Gandhi got self governance in India, and Anna Hazare is going to get us clean governance!!! Let's wait and watch what comes out of government bag for congress is known not to give up very easily on any issue!! And in this case, if congress accepts Anna's terms it will be like total transfusion of congress blood!! In first place, congress sending invitation letter to Anna makes it too hard to believe .leaving Indians with too less a time to think!! Best regards, U. G. Barad
