I find the title, Triumph of Secularism", very odd for a book on Opinion Poll. Secularism is a new buzzword in India, more so after the Ayodhya incident, and the Gujarat riots. True, the concept of secularism has been enshrined in the Indian constitution but it did not make much news in the early years of India's independence. Can the success of Opinion Poll be attributed to the triumph of secularism? I will hold further comment till I read the book. Perhaps those who have had a chance to read or glance through give us some of their insights.
