Gabe, In Goa, you not only require a surge protector but a voltage stabilizer too.I have also seen UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies) installed in many homes.Power interruptions and low voltages have always been a problem, due to thesubstandard equipment used by the Electricity Dept.
