The KFF will be inaugurated on Friday 29 April at 10.30 A.M. by Sarvdaman Patel, President of the Organic Farming Association of India [OFAI] and a leading biodynamic farmer from Anand District of Gujarat. Zonal Agriculture Officers have pledged their support. Farmers from all over Goa and rest of the Konkan will participate in the ‘fresh fruit’ competition. Taking into consideration the increasing prices of fruit, it has been decided to reduce the number of fruit for each entry from the earlier six to just four, at least one of which must be fully ripe on 28 April, 2011, for organoleptic and visual judgement.
