About: Pragnya Wakhlu is a talented singer, songwriter and guitarist from India. Her songs are about inner reflection ,thoughts , feelings and issues she feels strongly about. Known for her powerful vocals ,soulful singing style and deep lyrics Pragnya has been making waves on the music scene in India and abroad. She was noticed by Aury Moore (Lead singer of "Aury Moore and the Sonic Angels",a Seattle based band) who gave her an opportunity to have her own show in Seattle,USA. She headlined a show at Seattle Mainstage Music and Comedy club that exclusively featured upcoming woman artists and received a heartwarming response. Being a part of several bands ,playing different genres of music with musicians in India and the world, Pragnya has honed her own unique style and continues to touch people's hearts with her music. She currently is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for two Pune based bands “Nightshift” and Soul Strings” and is also recording her solo album independently. Influences: Her singing style is inspired by artists such as Janis Joplin, KT Tunstall, Red Hot Chili Peppers ,Norah Jones and Led Zepplin.
