GOEMCHEA RAKHONDARANCHO AWAZ (GRA) 
Following resolutions were adopted unanimously at the public meeting held at 
Lohia Maidan, Margao on 29th April, 2011.
 
1) Government of Goa should take immediate steps to start dialogue with civil 
society for the Installation of Lokayukta in Goa for pinning down politicians 
and bureaucrats on their conduct and corrupt practices. The Bill should be 
passed in the assembly and becomes a law before 19th December 2011, the 50th 
aniversary of our LIBERATION. 
 
3) Government of Goa should start dialogue with civil society for a draft 
proposal for acquiring Special status for Goa to maintain its unique natural, 
cultural and social characteristics and to preserve land for Goans.
 

4) Government of Goa must Sanitize electoral rolls in all 40 contituencies to 
ensure that only bonafide voters decide the Legilature. Election Commission 
should take stringent action on erring bureaucrats who are aiding politicians 
resorting to vote bank politics. 
5) The government of Goa should create a special cell with adequate staff in 
the mines department to Stop all illegal and semi-legal mines. Also cap output 
keeping in view the logistical problems and mineral needs of the posterity. The 
Government of Goa should start immediately, a dialogue with the civil society 
for distribution of windfall gains from mining amongst various sections of its 
population. 
6) Government of Goa should take steps to make Regional Plan people centric. 
Stop illegal and semi-legal construction and Alleviate infrastructure problems 
like garbage, parking. 
 
7) The Opposition in Goa Legislative Assembly should stop fixing the matches 
with the ruling group and instead of shaddow-boxing in the assembly, mount 
adequate pressures to facilitate above issues. 
8) GRA should start mounting pressure on the government as well as the 
opposition to force the government and the the legislature to implement above 
issues. If the Government and the opposition in Goa fail or show signs of 
shirking away from their duties, GRA should bring about a movement for a 
POLITICAL CHANGE.
