It's a shame for both the Toronto-based Goan Overseas Association (GOA) that it should organize a Know Goa programme for its members and for those who may be attending it. There are hundreds of books on Goa available for purchase via the Internet for those interest in the history, be it social, cultural or political, at a price that most Toronto-based Goans can afford. Besides, there are many webpages on the Net that give the history of Goa in a nutshell. Should Toronto Goans be spoon-fed Goa's history?
