While the DGP promises to identify the assailants of Nilesh Gaonkar there are questions which still need to be answered. Who attacked Nilesh Gaonkar? Was it a mining lobby sponsored attack or is there something more to it? With the government promising to close the Caurem mines the issue of Nilesh Goankar may never have a conclusion. The investigations in this criminal offence may well draw a blank just like in the spate of church and temple burglaries that Goa witnessed.
