I am not surprised by the extensive amount of paid advertisements in todays print media for PWD Minister Churchill Alemao on this 62nd Birthday. I too will put a paid Advertisement Praising Churchill, if he can do all of the following (1) Adhere to his promise of stopping MOPA (which he made before securing the lucrative PWD ministry) (2) Publicly state and stop his support for Non Goan Raheja's extensive mega project designs at Carmona, (3) Pressurise his corrupt government to remove the dubious additions to the Regional Plan e.g. eco-sensitive zones (4) Stop support for illegal/indiscriminate mining and (5) Ensuring the Congress Party to fulfills its promise to get Special Status for Goa to preserve its identity. And if he can do all of the latter then, I would also request all those who put out the Paid Advertisements for his birthday and many others to also do the same!! Arwin Mesquita, UAE
