The General Body Meeting of the Goa Headmasters Association had resolved not to accept the 'circular' issued by the Director of Education to apply Section 16 of the RTE retroactively for the academic year 2010-11 after the results were declared and admissions for 2011-12 finalized.
It is surprising, therefore, that after the delegation of Executive Committee Members of the Association met the DE, the Association President started singing a different tune! Did the DE intimidate the President by threatening withholding of Grants in Aid? And did the President buckle down to the DE's threats? Come on Mr. President, Goa Headmasters are made of sterner stuff. Get your act together. Stick to your guns and the mandate given by the General Body of Headmasters.
