In the below appended article, the IITian talks about the circular issued on June 10 as being against the Education Act, RTE as also Education rules. I really fail to understand why marathi is tagged along with Konkani whenever the issue of MoI arises. By talking about marathi in the same breath as Konkani, they are insulting and demeaning the efforts of all those who contributed in making Konkani the official language of the State. Marathi has been a virus in our society which was dormant for over 22 years and now mutilate to such an extent that it has started destroying Goa and Goans. To come to a proper implementation of MoI, we must first do away with this virus call marathi. Once this is done, Goans can enjoy the right of having to educate their children either in Konkani which is the official Language of the State or in English which is the International Language.
