Why not celebrate on the 13th June ( i.e. Monday this year ) as was celebrated on the 19th. Simple any feast day falling on a week day is celebrated on the following sunday.
Siolim was most probably known as the village of Shiva i.e. Shiva-le or Shivo-le. And God Shiva has a king cobra round his head.Perhaps it was a warning to the new converts to forget Shiva's reptitian devotion.
