Most of Goans will have appreciated the above edit when 'English' as MOI
has churned-up a whirl-wind of sorts, which to us, is nothing but a 'storm
in a tea-cup', really.
All one has to do is just throw out the tea-cup along with the tea and all
will be well. However, it was not a surprise to see the good doctor
Francisco Colaco taking up for Udaybab the way he has [ H- letter to editor
'Double Standards?' June 21, 2011]. The good doctor must realize that there
was nothing deplorable in the edit. People of Goa are not against Udaybab at
all for fighting for Konkani as the MOI. The whole world of anti-mergerites
are against Udaybab for his close association with the vipers who have been
perennially poisoning Goa's Mai-Bhas KONKANI through the obnoxious Marathi
Mauxi. It was one thing that Udaybab chose to denounce the Catholics of Goa
for living in the past Potuguese Colonialism through his most offensive
article 'GLORIFYING COLONIALISM'. Goans had dismissed his 'taunt' as an
aberration. But his mixing-up with Shashikala Kakodkar (whose carrier is on
the verge of death) and other Marathi vipers like Naguesh Karmali et al was
not at all tolerated. Udaybab must remember that it was time enough that
Goa's Marathi Mauxi had to be beheaded. That 'English' has come in as the
'Agent Provocateur' is a blessing in disguise.
