-- Samir Umarye BICHOLIM: The people from Bicholim who are eating corns might now have to think twice as it is found that some of the vendors get the coals for frying them from nearby crematorium.
According to the available information two person were caught on Sunday while collecting coals from crematorium at Chimulwada Mayem. On Sunday, one Kashinath Mayekar from Mayem spotted that the gates of crematorium were open and so they went inside. When they went inside they were shocked to find that two persons were busy collecting coals laying near a burnt body of a person. Mayekar's inquiry reveled that the two persons were vendors selling corns. Enraged at this the villagers gate sound beating to the duo who later ran keeping the bags in the crematorium. Meanwhile, there are about 3 to 4 vendors selling corns in Bicholim and it is suspected that they might be getting the required material from crematoriums.
