It is with great sadness that, on behalf of my family. I announce the sad passing away of our beloved Antonio (Tony) Rodrigues (son of the late Roque Cosmo Concesao Rodrigues and the late Concesao Rodrigues) on Monday 20th June at 4.20pm after a short illness at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading. Tony was a well known member of our community in Slough and beyond and was perhaps more widely known for the catering firm he ran with his wife Suzana, Tony & Suzy Caterers.
Tony spent the early part of his life in Malawi, where he was born in 1950, and later went to Goa to complete his studies. He settled in Slough, England in the late seventies and worked for many years at Mars Confectionaries. He was a very active and enthusiastic<http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-US&rlz=1I7ADSA_en&sa=X&ei=ZLQBTrHlHIrNhAf9sPGSDQ&ved=0CC0QvwUoAQ&q=enthusiastic&spell=1> part of our community, and will be missed greatly especially for his great skills in organising sporting and social events and for the synergy he brought to them. Tony will also be missed for his ever helpful and very pleasant nature. We hope and pray that God will grant him eternal rest and help us all during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements are currently being made and I will post another message to confirm this. Tony is survived by his wife Suzy and daughters Niketa & Chloe, sisters/brother Clara (Ivor Gomes), Anna (Ciril de Quadros), Amelia (Blasco Barreto), Boni (Sacramenta) and Dina (George D'Silva) Nieces/nephews Audrey (Giles Rodrigues), Hazel (Jacob), Clifford (Romilla), Blanche (Clinton Rocha), Ian (Emilie), Linsey (Sasha Albisharat), Nicholas, Dixon, Paul, Marie-Claire, Graham & Richard grand-nieces/grand-nephews Amanda, Deyn, Thomas & Jacob.
