Maligning mother Theresa It is unfair an uncharitable, however remotely, to malign Mother Theresa and her institution for not maintaining accounts of her trust. No such insinuation have been heard any time during her life time or even after her death. The Trusts are bound by ;law to get audited their accounts annually by C.A and submit them to Income Tax Commissioner for scrutiny and records. During the course of the debate on the unravel ling of huge wealth in the personal possession of Satya Baba, after his death , one of the participant on the popular show tried to compare her in the same vein ,drawing ill conceived parallels This oblique reference to her is blasphemous and sacrilegious and such a comparison is totally misplaced ,borne out of gross ignorance. Fortunately the anchor of the show treated this remark with disdain and contempt it deserves Nevertheless and in all fairness to her pious life, and much acclaimed works of charity, the participant should have been cautioned to limit himself on the issue under discussion ,instead of enlarging its scope.and made to apologize.. She is revered and held in high steem by people of all faiths and is labelled as the living saints of the gutters. Never before, any individual showered personal attention and love in taking care of persons rotting on the streets,and condemned to die an undignified death befitting animals Mother with her love and compassion changed all this. She received as an Indian, the Nobel Peace prize.making us all Indians proud of her achievement It may of interest to those ignorant of the facts, that when Mother breathed her last,, the possession found are a rosary, Bible, sari, and a mat, indicating the poverty of her life and death In contrast to the wealth in cash, gold and silver in the private room of Satya Sai Baba, that had not been accounted till then, as Trust property ,as normally required under Trust regulations The remarks , uncalled for against the saintly Mother, whose life has been a paragon of virtues is unpardonable It has hurt the sentiments of her followers, even though there are no violent outbursts ,demand for apology or even symbolic protest in line of teaching of our faith.
