Mousinho, much like his associated politicians, conveniently has learnt to tell what I label ‘political truths’. As though there was a choice; Mr. Bembre’s granddaughter had to go to an unaided English Primary school as grant were NOT given to English medium schools. Secondly, if the parents of the grandchild have taken the decision on sending the granddaughter to English media “and against his wishes”; why did Mr. Bembre not start an agitation as he is doing now? That too because other people’s children and grandchildren who could not afford the inflated fees, will be now going to English MOI? Can Fr. Mousinho cite anybody who had his primary education in English and had his future “destroyed” as he quotes in his letter? The government does not consist of geriatric insanes, but politician; specially an opposition who try to draw political mileage from any issue, imaginary or controversial; and connive with destructive elements to attain their private agenda. The overwhelming number of student who have opted for English MOI this academic year is a very clear indication of the wishes people of Goa. And this is Democracy! So please stop being anarchic.
