Sandeep Heble recently posted some interesting and yet curious stuff. IMHO, that stuff needs to be sorted out into two portions: Fact and Fluff.
In preparation for the anticipated 'debate' which may or may not happen - this coming weekend, I commenced looking up some 'archives'. I am quoting selectively from the publicly available postings. I am sure that all of us can do the same thing about postings from me and others. Here goes ....and without further comment: jc 1: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goa-Goans/message/516 Nov 23, 2000 Parrikar's justification is that known corrupt Ministers were inducted into his Cabinet with the hope that they would reform! 2: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goa-Goans/message/694 Dec 12, 2000 People had hopes that at least this IIT graduate would not behave like the rest of the muck but hopes were dashed too soon. 3: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goa-Goans/message/630 Dec 6, 2000 Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar's action in the few weeks in office speaks volumes and exposes the hidden BJP agenda. The Saffron's true colours are showing very clearly and ever so loudly. 4: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goa-Goans/message/1255 Feb 1, 2001 It is not surprising that he has been using the same crooked ways he used to grab Power to now hang on to the Chair he so cunningly snatched. 5:http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goa-Goans/message/1565 Feb 23, 2001 it is always easy to speak out when you are in the opposition. But you are now in the hot seat and the ball is in your court, your Majesty. You have been able to complete 100 days. Whether you will hit the double century tenure only your neo-saffronites will decide. 6: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goa-Goans/message/1336 Feb 6, 2001 He had promised a leaner administration but he has given birth to yet more Corporations. He has been so busy stocking the Corporations and other government bodies with BJP party functionaries without bothering to get people with expertise to re-kindle the Corporations that have been white elephants for many years. 7: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goa-Goans/message/1846 March 14, 2001 The BJP has tried to project itself as a clean party but its true colours and hidden agenda is becoming very evident slowly but surely. Closer to home the BJP actions are scarcely better. Parrikar used unfair means to clinch the Chief Minister's chair and has reneged on every promise and principle he professed while in opposition. 8: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goa-Goans/message/1600 Feb 27, 2002 it is very evident that under Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar too there seems to be victimisation of officers who do not bend to whims of politicians and of those who may not help in the hidden agenda. However under the current BJP regime the tinge of saffron stands out. 9: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goa-Goans/message/5696 March 11, 2002 The recent events and a close scrutiny of Mr Parrikar's acts and actions have revealed that the Chief Minister has scant respect, if any, for the democratic institutions and traditions. It is not only the Minorities that are unsafe under the BJP onslaught. The common man has to think very hard as to where our country will land with the communal and divisive policies of the BJP 10: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Goa-Goans/message/17561 Oct 9, 2004 The source of mischief and frustrated attempts to create conflicts is apparently the keyboard of the Ribandar Church computer from where these messages in the name of the so called Maria Rodrigues emanate. I sincerely believe that there is a right way and a wrong way to go about this. Aires is a lawyer. Splashing names of individuals in Cyberspace - without legal recourse is NOT ( at least in my opinion ) one of them. Someone could easily get up and say/write ANYTHING FALSE about ANY among us. Slanderous words & hymens spoken are like Egg Shells broken. They can NEVER be truly repaired.
