Judge Anuja Prabhudesai had a long battle against injustice and now justice still seems to elude another outstanding Judge Desmond D’Costa. While these honest and sincere judges have been unnecessarily penalized, no action has yet been taken against North Goa District Judge Nutan Sardesai despite there being documented evidence of her having heard cases of her former employer in rank violation of judicial propriety.
Some of the judges appointed in recent years have been performing outstandingly well and have done the Goa Judiciary proud. But then we also have some judges in the Goa courts who for yeras continue to demean the temples of justice by their sheer judicial incompetence. How long will the Judicial authorities continue to be mere spectators to this sordid state of affairs. It’s time to crack the whip and send those unworthy Judges packing.
