An Affidavit filed yesterday by the Dir. Of Education in reply to the Writ
Petition on MoI by some 3 students and another at the High Court of Bombay, Goa
Bench  stated as follows:

 

Total number of students in Primary Schools: 30,008; 

opted for primary education in English: 27,202 i.e. 91%; 

opted for primary education in Konkani: 995; 

opted for primary education in Marathi: 1,887.
