------------------------------ **Dear All You might be interested in the attached Programme for the *Global Goans Convention* including the *Goan Festival* which is taking place from Friday 22 to Monday 25 July this year. The arrangements for this are massive - but an honour for the Goan Association (UK) to host and to welcome many prestigious and illustrious speakers and guests, and we have received tremendous support so far.
There certainly will be lots to ponder, enjoy, savour and learn at the Convention, whilst the Festival will also have the usual exciting programme of music, dance, variety of stalls, children's fairground, not forgetting the opportunity to catch up and meet with friends old and new! Once again, the Festival is being sponsored by Tilda Basmati - who will also have a stall and lots of special offers of their wonderful rice available. So, do pass the word around - we look forward to your support and presence. You can also access the following new website for an application form to attend the Convention: *www.goaukconvention.co.uk* or visit the *Goan Voice UK *website. Look forward to meeting you then - if not sooner! Best wishes always *Anita Rebello - PR Director* *GOAN ASSOCIATION (UK)* COMMENT:- This was sent onwards to me, I don't know why, as I have been curtly informed that as far as I am concerned; the Management reserves the right of admission. As I have previously informed here on this forum - time to go out into the streets and invite all and sundry. With all the tremendous support received so far, according to the email circular, why are they looking for more? P.R. Director's English writing skills need improvement. The word 'and' is an article joining two sentences, hence no comma, okay. It pisses me off that the new fangled way of writing now a days, can begin a sentence with....And... -- DEV BOREM KORUM Gabe Menezes.
