Yes Merwyn, it is one thing getting the papers and commenting on it. This is what a debate is about. Just because someone will pass comments does not mean the papers must be hidden. Fear of comment should not hold back those who have spoken in public. I asked that the papers be put on a website, possibly Goan Voice where we have both Dr. Teo's and Dr. Stella's papers. Who else on the forum would have pointed out that Dr. Stella's paper is not much different from the old she read at the 1988 Toronto Convention? Did you know this? Or, rather do you care for this sort of information? Jason's analysis of Dr. SarDesai's paper can be taken as an example of intellectual analysis. It probably went over Merwyn's head as his knowledge of Indian social and political history is probably nil. It is okay for Santosh to make a snide remark. Didn't he lash out at Jason? I would rather read Jason than Santosh. Wish Santosh can refute point-by-point Jason's dissertation of Dr. SarDesai's presentation. I can understand Santosh's mindset. He is upset that something is said against or about a Hindi Goan. His communal leaning is transparent. Yes, if my little note was said to be "premature excretion" for Santosh, Jason's article is a "useless piece", meaning "bullshit." Santosh has a right to his opinion as does you. So let this rest. Merwyn, despite you long stay in Toronto you are ignorant of GOA's history. You have played no role in the GOA. History is not your cup of tea. Stick to giving financial advice which, according to some, is not worth it.
