Identity cards mania Indians are now becoming crazy collecting multiple photo identity cards, when any one card can only establish true identity. Earlier there was only the historical ration card and passports with a bare privileged few. Then came the students cards,followed by ATM, credit cards. The Pan card has become compulsory for opening of accounts and financial transactions in particular The bank pass book also serves as an identity now fixed with the photo.. Senior citizen cards issued by social security department and senior citizens forum are also handy,but SCF cards are not recognised for state Govt. facilities.
