(Navhind Times) Criminal activities going on with knowledge of local MLA: Joseph
The sarpanch of Calangute village panchayat, Mr Joseph Sequeira said that activities that are allegedly going on in Calangute constituency, such as prostitution, drug business and matka besides other criminal activities, are continuing with the knowledge of the local MLA. Mr Sequeira said that the present MLA, despite being in the ruling panel of the present government, is not able to stop these illegalities, even after raising these issues on the floor of the Assembly House and addressing a letter to the Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat, the Home and Cooperation Minister, Mr Ravi Naik and the Director General of Police, Mr Aditya Arya. Mr Sequeira questioned, “Then what is the use of he being an MLA?”
