Dear All, In my last response to Gabe Menezes, I wrote...
' Frankly, there was much in the organisation of the event that upset me. Badly organized at least on the first two days...' I deeply regret the phrasing given that it suggests that the entire Convention was badly organized. This phrasing does deep disservice to the organizers and the actually decent way in which the Convention was carried out. If anything, I was referring to the manner in which the time-management and interactions with the audience were carried out. I continue to be somewhat upset by this. Having said this however, I have to confess that I am holding it to standards that are not necessarily universal, though I may see them as important. Mea Maxima Culpa. Forgive me. I especially put out this apology, given that I was deeply touched by the hospitality that was afforded by the members of the GOA, that was spontaneous and unstinting, and would hate that they felt dismissed by my badly phrased comments. What is required is a profound and thorough conviction of the justice, necessity and importance of political and social rights. (B R Ambedkar)
