Goa noted the deaths of two well-known individuals over the past few days Dr Verissimo Coutinho of Cuncolim/Chicago/Margao and Imelda Tavora. Imelda was virtually Goa's voice on the airwaves, for some time before the end of Portuguese rule, and for a long time after. Dr Coutinho was engaged in the campaign against colonialism, and then took to a career in academia overseas. See their obituary advertisements here:
