“ ARE EDUCATIONIST OF GOA COMMUNALISTS ? ”
It is really piety to see some students are being brought out on the street to protest against the MOI by the son of Pundalik Naik. Although it is made to look like an students movement but if you minutely observe the way the student dress and carry out their activities, even blind will be sure to say that they are being sponsored by some persons having vested interest against MOI and are taking undue advantage of this innocent students . As per a known source it seems the Konkani Academy of Goa spends more than 10 to 20 lakhs of Rupees every year to organise Samelan and other activities around the state and these money are being miss utilise by these people who receives it likes son of Pundalik Naik and their other groups etc. For the last 20 years they did nothing to promote or develop Konkani language in the state. The group of few people are running the Konkani Academy as well as other konkani devnagri organisations. Never in the history of last 20 years of konkani movement a minority leaders like Fr. Mosinho/Tomasinho has been elected President of Konkani Academy who fought tooth and nail to get the status for Konkani as mother tongue on the contrary a few major community devgnagri activist are using these people for their vested interest and playing musical chair of Presidentship among themselves. Are Moshino, Tomasinho, Anacleto or for that matter any minority person are not capable to hold the chair of Presidentship of Konkani Academy? Why the BBSM (Bharati Bhasha Suraksha Manch) and their cronies are only capable to defend the Indian languages? Isn’t it that the Konkani language got its rightful place due to selfless sacrifice of minority as well as few majority community from Goa?
As per the news appearing in all the newspapers in Goa an ex-Chairman of Goa Board of Education has filed petition in the Court of law along with 3 students/parents of RSS managed schools in the state against the grant to MOI in English. We want to ask him what was the idea behind making parties the RSS managed school? Are there no other schools in Goa which are more secular than these? Being an ex- Chairman of Goa Board of Education is it fair on your part to pick only radical run schools? Have you done justice during your tenure as a chairman of the Goa board of Education when you were on the chair or have you done favouritism to only these schools run by RSS organization? Educationist should not be communalist, they should be plural and not be a person putting spokes in the development of any languages or learning as per the castes, communities, religions etc. By your act you have proved that you are not an educationist but in a clear term a communalist. We would very much appreciate if all the people who oppose the decision get together and fight for better issues such as corruption, inequalities in jobs in Govt Offices, Garbage and other issues affecting people of Goa. Have you got guts to do it? Then come on lets go for it…
Finally it took Mrs. Kakodkar 20 years to realise that Konkani is the mother tongue of Goa, but during the Opinion Poll – 1967 and language agitation -1987 she opposed it tooth and nail and favoured Maharashtra and Maharastrian language. How about making mother tongue konkani a compulsory subject in Marathi medium schools Mrs Tai? Dear Tai this is the time to speak your artificial crooked mind, views and feelings now. Show all Goans your guts.
