As an ordinary citizen of India i am happy for many issues .
A very good coverage by NDTV on this subject but i have my concerns too , media
can make you shine like a star and can also break you like a stick , media
should not behave like the courts of justice to decide who is right and wrong ,
for the past days Anna has been the talk of the TV coverage but India has many
other pressing and important problems .
Media has made one forget the core issue of this entire episode and that is a
Parliament exist , laws are framed , and we live in a much more civilized
country but the shift of the topic is now Anna and not corruption. I blame the
media for stressing too much on Anna , his jail visit, refusing to come out ,
about Kiran Bedi the office i always adore a lot and respect her for what she
stands for .Media can have positive and negative impact and by showing to the
world that things can change through fast is dangerous , here the contentious
issue is agreeing on certains points concerning Lokpal bill , it is not as
though some gruesome incident has hit India , the issue is very minute and
giving a lot of importance to this is seriously dangerous .
Anna just cannot be compared to Gandhiji , our Bapu was the greatest beyond
compare and many many intellectuals joined him and appreciated him for his
humility and his works and Bapu has come a long a way in achieving what he
wanted , while Anna's self proclaimed fame is through media , by comparing Anna
to Bapu is an insult to Bapu , one cannot call Anna a Martyr.
As human beings grow old they behave like children and that is what Anna is now
behaving like a kid by refusing to come out of Jail, and it is clear Anna is
not here for the corruption cause he is a political mascot for some vested
interests.
Anna should politely come out of the Jail and sit accross the table for
discussions like a civilized citizen and resolve the issues with the Government
.
If an ordinary man had to start this fast i wonder if media coverage would be
that great .
The Govt of India has done very well of imposing laws and preventing chaos
yesterday , one never knows in the middle of all this confusion some take
advantage of this situation and create dangerous acts . It has acted very
democratically and constitutionally by doing so.
My appeal to Govt leave Anna and focus now on reducing prices of commodities ,
employment to many, improve health standards, improve water and electricity
facilitation to rural villages, education, infrastructure, inflation , and
lastly make India free of crimes , make india free from dirtyness where you
have Garbagge piled up in every nook and corner where hygiene is a concern and
let every month be a month of thanksgiving and that is India i as a citizen
would like to see and not Anna .
