OLD AGED AT HOME AT CHINCHINIM. Recently the pathetic plight of inmates at the Govt facility was in the news Earlier, the going on were highlighted ,but seemed to been ignored, in stead of inquiry and remedial actions The duty of the social welfare department to provide the daily requirement cannot be absolved and it is absolutely unforgivable When people want to donate eatables on occasions, they have to get a date. It is evident that there is regular supply from outsiders in the village . Many a times they have been demanding food provisions in stead, stating that ration is inadequate Pep ole in good intentions have supplied the requirement. In such case what happens to regular supply of govt,provisions , or the Govt supply considers these private inputs? Is there a register maintained of food or eatables supplied to check the malpractice of diversions.? It is inhuman, shocking state of affairs , if the old inmates have to depend on uncertainties for their daily needs. An inquiry is a must to put at rest the apprehensions and take corrective measures immediately. If for any reason, the Department is unable to operate the home ,then please close it down,but for God`s sake do not starve them and increase their miseries besides the agony of loneliness and being felt unwanted and abandoned too.
