These are some Brazilian researchers who are currently studying the
field of Goan writing (in Portuguese):

Angela Goldstein is studing the tales by Vimala Devi (at her master's
level). Pedro Vinícius Leite is doing a comparative study between *O
Signo da Ira* and *O Ultimo Olhar de Manu Miranda*, two novels by
Orlando da Costa (at the undergraduate level).

Octavio Carillo is doing a comparative study between *O Signo da Ira*
and Lambert Mascarenhas' *Sorrowing Lies my Land* (at the
undergraduate level).

João Cunha, who already did an impressive study of *Jacob and Dulce*,
by Gip, for his Masters, now, for his PHd, studies the works by Jose
da Silva Coelho.

Prof. Dr. Helder Garmes of the Departamento de Letras Clássicas e
Vernáculas, Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas at the
Universidade de São Paulo <[email protected]> is himself doing a
comparative study between *The Brahamanes/Os Brahmanes* (1866), by
Francisco Luis Gomes, and *The Guarani* (1857), a romantic Brazilian
novel by Jose de Alencar.
