Dear TONY It is indeed SAD and tragic to read what you have written. This phenomenon has surfaced in the last may be about 30 years.
Honestly this was not the case in Goa before that, as you are aware my father was also one of the doctors in the village and I cannot even once remember he sending a patient away or anytime giving something thinking of personal gains. He would go and visit patients anytime of the day or night. Again another thing that has vanished now. Unfoturnately as you are aware he passed away in 1978. In those days I remember no doctor charged to see fellow doctors and their families etc. I am sure all these good GOAN deeds are in the shelves now. Indeed very tragic. what will come next we shall see. JDGP
