This promising news was flashed on Canadian TV a couple of days ago. http://www.cbc.ca/news/health/story/2011/08/31/cancer-virus-intravenous-stud y.html http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/206633/20110831/cancer-virus-cancer-treatmen t-cancer-research-cancer-break-through-cancer-cure.htm The cancer killing virus was engineered by scientists at the Ottawa Hospital and a biotech company Jennerex. A few months ago it was tested on mice with organs fully covered with tumors. The disappearance of the tumors was dramatic. Now it was tested on 23 patients at the hospital who were in advanced cancer stages with different kinds of cancers and their tumors similarly disappeared. Apparently the virus works on most but not all cancers and knocks off 80% of them. This is my mental recall of the TV news. It appears to me that since this is not a drug, there will be no big money involved for patients and there may not be the usual drug approval process that takes years to happen. But hey, what do I know? Will Goanet's oncologists please enlighten us to the real potential here. Utt Oidoncar Dotor Gilbert Lawrence. Roland. Toronto
