The World Goa Day Picnic was very well attended with members of all ages. Lots of delicious food, beverages and hot tea and snacks. I was happy when a little boy asked me if I had anything to do with organizing the picnic and when I asked him why, he said he just loved it. Enough testimonial for me! Thanks to Pam Albuquerque and Edith Dias for organizing the event and a special thanks to all who attended and made it such a fun afternoon. The high-light was when the thunderstorm hit the site. All the picnickers, young and old huddled under the shelter and Kenny Lopes brought out his guitar. Romeo and Belinda Remedios entertained with a medley of songs. Thanks to the rain, there was a feeling of closeness and bonding; full-filling the GOA's hope for our community. Neighboring picnickers came over to congraulate us on our efforts to keep the community close, in particular the children.
