Dear Gerald Thanks for your response It is known that registration of death and birth at least in Goa preceded mush before gazette notification Such records were used for the purposes needed. The central service rules requires that any change of dates only within two years of joining service Is it your contention and that of the General that some one else fudged this date of birth and he was ignorant of it till now? In my administrative capacity such requests though genuine are rejected even with supporting genuine documents You have not commented on this specific aspect, and perhaps not familiar with such requirements, Instead you chose uncharitably to use derogatory language and assume usefulnes my life. Ignorance of law is no excuse for the well informed General to agitate at this juncture Service records are available to any employee for scrutiny and rectification if, necessary The Govt. as per service rules and with reference to his query has conveyed the decision on this matter, which is uniformly applied to all employees That the General expects special privilege for extraneous consideration cannot be appreciated It appears that you are harbouring some sort of grudge is evident from your attack ,by being silent on the CSR, and which is the main contention of my views. You definitely need to inform yourself on o CSRules on changing of birth date on service records and clearly have no experience in service matters.
