VOTE FOR CASH Amar Sing is finally in the net by the Delhi police after 3 long years It certainly not true that Amar was acting on his own He was the front to some one to save the UPA Govt and his personal interest was inconsequential, except that he was perhaps playing a stellar role to encash it later. What action was taken against those done ,who defied the whip and voted against their parties or conveniently abstained There were 19 such members The BJP under the guise of whistle blowers allowed the transaction to take place, without informing the police for action Hence they have accepted the bribe to vote against and are guilty of the offence It certainly on record that the higher ups in the BJP were in loop and deliberately promoted the scoop with diabolic designs. How the wads of money was displayed and smuggled in the parliament.? It was a most disgraceful ,defiling and desecration of the Parliament. Why the Speaker was not informed about the attempt to bribe with the threat of delimitation of certain constituencies that would affect some M.P.`s ? It was a drama enacted in the Parliament , because it was the only way the BJP could embarrass the UPA in this novel way to bring down morally in the eyes of general public Thus the BJP was also the beneficiary of this malicious campaign The Report of the house committee exonerated Amar Singh ,but Delhi Police under the tutelage of their masters slept over it as long as it was possible, disregarding the direction to investigate . It is only under the direction of the Supreme Court the matter has received impetus for action. While the role of money, the source, motives and those behind the plot are crucial, it is also very significant to thoroughly investigate the acceptance of the bribe and connivance by the BJP in this sordid drama of upmanship. There was a time when parliament was attacked, the Nation was almost on the door step of full blown war to salvage the prestige of the sanctum sanctorum Did this scandal of smuggling money received as bribes, dressed up as whistle blowing is not on the same footing of lowering the prestige and sovereignty of the august house ?The muted and calculated silence of BJP thus far strengthens the believe that the temporary purpose of the party was well served in maligning the UPA In the final analysis the BJP must also be equally hauled up for their dubious role in this fashion, allowing acceptance of bribes and then making a virtue of the vice of corrupt practice Whether any conclusive results will surface from this forced inquiry in which the giver and receiver are equally culpable remains to be seen.
