After completing 35 shows of his tiatr 'Fuge', Roseferns, the king of
centuries, will be releasing his 72nd production 'Oso-i Ek Dis Yetolo' in
October.
The script of his upcoming tiatr revolves around the family and values that
keep members of the family united. "Besides the family melodrama, it will also
have some political links," reveals Roseferns.
Asked as to what inspired him to pen a drama with 'political links', Roseferns
proudly states that it was the crusader against corruption and social activist,
Anna Hazare, who was his sole inspiration.
"Corruption is rampant in all fields. We all are aware of it, but nobody has
the guts to stand up and fight against it. By going on an indefinite fast, Anna
Hazare could bring pressure on the centre to bring a strong Lokpal bill in
Parliament. Why can't I contribute my mite through the Konkani stage in
creating awareness among Goans against corruption?" inquired this seasoned
dramatist.
Like some of his fellow tiatrists, Roseferns has always provided food for
thought to the Konkani audience through his tiatrs by focusing on various
issues related to Goa and Goans at large.
"Some of my tiatrs in the recent past have focused on the political scenario
and the politicians. They include 'Goykar', 'Hem Amchem Goy', 'Mhaka Kiteak
Poddlam?', 'Goykara', 'Tum Ragar Zainaka' and 'Ami Goykar, Tumi Konn?'. But
this time around, I have made an attempt to mix family drama with some
political links," he reveals.
The cast includes Ulhas Tari, Steffi, Antonette de Maina and Victor. The comic
interludes will be handled by Sally, Anita, Richard and Costy. "But this time,
the comic interludes, which will be part of the drama, will be presented in a
new style," disclosed Roseferns.
