Going to the peel region heritage site and reading about the 2008 International Goan Convention in Toronto reminded me of the late Cornel da Costa. Despite his analysis of my reports, here was a man who wrote as he saw it. I disagreed with some of his points, but that was okay. It was a healthy debate with points and counterpoints. Unlike what we have seen regarding the London convention where the petulant Selma got all worked up and lost her bearings. Wish he was alive and I am sure he would be there at the London Goan Convention bringing us his views, unlike what we read. Remember, the "gated community" debate where he showed his incisive arguments to demolish the ego of the "privileged" person.
