Could you share any estimates of the number of expat Goans who live in

PS: What do you see as the major issues facing Goans there currently?
For many years I wondered about this whilst we were trying to keep the Goans
here together with the GOA here. I inquired with the bureau of statistics
and they were able to only give me stats of 2006 but Indian and not
individual Goan figures. We have had a census recently and those figures (
Indian ) will be available early next yr.
Number of Indians in Queensland = 11,000 and No of Indians in Brisbane =
6,067. One thing I have noted is that the number of Punjabi students is
massive. We have around 80 +/- member families not all Goan but taking into
account de factos to the Anglo Indian organization ( now extinct here ) or
Sri Lankan Silver Fawn organization many yrs ago or not keen to be members
of a Goan association we could be looking at 500 Goans around Queensland or
maybe around Brisbane and the Gold Coast. I could be wrong but then this is
just an estimate.
Well this country has been great to everyone we know.
